UPDATE: Thank you for those who participated but unfortunately I had to close the contest since there weren't enough entries. :'3 I also apologize that I didn't inform everyone sooner we had to deal with some COVID-19 cases with some of my friends and loved ones families so my attention was fully focused on them. ^ 0 ^ For the time being I hope to create another contest in the future that will have better luck. I had been thinking of doing this since the year began but never got to posting it due to other obligations, and of course COVID-19. I thought it might be too late to post this contest but thought of the many artists who do need our support and how this could be a little stress reliever for them

Rejunevate comes from rejuvenate and June put together. The concept is that for the month of June artists/ creators get the chance to give their much loved OCs a new look or fresh take. This could be from main OCs to OCs that have been sitting on a bench for a while.

Here are some examples of my own OCs who have either been modified or changed throughout the years! ^ 0 ^

Contest Rules

1. Has to be your OWN OC!!! If your OC is based in a universe from an existing show, anime, movie, etc. that's fine. For example your OC in Demon Slayer, BNHA, is allowed but not if your submitting a Tanjiro or Deku rejunevated entry.

2. OC should be an existing OC, please do not submit OCs just made for this event.

3. Effort. Entries have to show that you have put effort to them, submitting a stick figure and then drawing a scribbled 2D figure will not increase your chances of winning.

4. Multiple entries are allowed! Only 1 OC will win though.

5. Please do not submit traced works or steal OCs!!! You will be disqualified from this event or any future contests that I have.

6. Please include before and after in your entries

7. Any artistic medium will be accepted! Ex. digital and tradition

8. Anyone can participate!

Judging Criteria

EFFORT, Clarity, Change

• Effort doesn't mean you have to present masterpiece! It's only meant to make sure that all submissions show the love and care your OC deserves in their rejunevated versions.

• For Clarity your submission must be visible and clean with a clear view of your OCs after.

• Our OCs can definitely remain the same for long periods of time but just like us they change in their journeys. This portion will analyze how much the OCs appearance has changed/ grown, along with the growth of the artist.

1st Place: $50

Submission date

Starts from now until July 31st 12:00 a.m.

Please note I have the liberty of extending dates for extenuating circumstance

Judging period can be up to a week but I will post if it will be announced sooner.

Edit: Extended date after someone made a good point that people can be affected by the pandemic and may not have easy login access like normal, so even though it won't be June anymore I do want this to be something fun for artists and not to stress about another deadline. Hope this helps!

Hello everyone! ^ 0 ^

I hope everyone has been doing well!

It's been pretty hectic from my end this year and it's caused me to have long periods of absences here. OTL I miss you all so much!!! QAQ

Full time job, new puppies, and car wrecks really take a lot out of you. ; - ;

I'm not sure how the remaining months of 2019 will be for me but I have a goal to try and get log on once a week to catch up with everyone.

That being said I know I can't keep up with the mountain of artwork, posts, groups, and other notifications I keep receiving. So after a lot of thought I am going to go through my watch list and begin a clean up.

Clean up being:

-Removing artists or deviants that have not been active for an indefinite amount of time.

-Artists that no longer create the content I had initially watched for, please note I am in full support for artists to create whatever they enjoy!

-Also removing deviants that I never interacted with, whether I did or didn't try to imitate conversation.

I am not removing people I know and have been friends with for years! Although I know who the majority of you guys are I would still appreciate if those who are following me would let me know that they are still active or interested in staying in touch here. Otherwise I might accidentally delete you. ; w ;
